Experience and Education

Bachelor's degree in business with minimum six (6) hours collegeaccounting courses.

Highly Preferred Skills:
  • High proficiency in advanced Excel and database applications
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills
Job Duties

  • Assists with processing:
    • Monthly financial and payroll reports for department and faculty labdirectors
    • Requests for expense transfers requests for various ad hocaccounting-related reports.
    • Assists with reviewing and/or researching expense-related issues toprovide clarification/resolution to SPA, department, and/or service centers.
    • Assists with annual budget preparation (e.g., collection of data andother related tasks, as assigned).
    • Other related tasks/projects as assigned.
  • Reconciles salary reports, bank statements, and general ledger trialbalances.
  • Prepares deposit slips and maintains cash control records, basic profitand loss statements, and trial balances of subsidiary ledgers reconcilingdiscrepancies.
  • Calculates unit cost information and monthly billings for reimbursementof expenditures.
  • Assists in preparing more complex financial records and operatingreports, preparing less complex special reports and analyzing accounting datafor planning estimates and other similar items.
  • May assist accounting clerks by clarifying work problems, such asallocation of income and expense, closing, correcting or adjusting journalentries, preparation of special exhibits and schedules, and other similaritems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
