Experience and Education


Bachelor's degree in business and 5+ years directly related exp. in a mid to large size corporation. MBA degree preferred. Two (2) years in a supervisory or lead capacity preferred. Knowledge of Hyperion and PeopleSoft systems required.

Job Duties


  • Develop and implement an effective action plan to improve performance in the department in general and particularly for the development of budgets for different fund groups.
  • Meets or exceeds financial goals and objectives of the department.
  • Coordinate with management teams throughout the organization to develop annual budget.
  • Develop and enhance budgeting and reporting tools.
  • Coordinates activities & the documentation of the budget process.
  • Develops forecasts and projections for review.
  • Prepares schedules, reports, graphs, charts, etc.
  • Ensure notification and publication deadlines are met.
  • Prepares final budget documents for distribution.
  • Implement systems or procedures to capture MSRDP, Service and auxiliary financial/statistical data for developing operating budget for the university.
  • Prepare budget to actual variance analysis, and other ad hoc management reports.
  • Analyze and develop key benchmarking indicators for forecasting and developing clinical practice revenue and expense projections.
  • Assist clinical departments to prepare their MSRDP budget and help meet budgetary goals.
  • Develop practice plan budget presentation for senior management which will include projections with support documents.
  • Serve as a liaison between University Budget Office and the Clinical departments, Service and Auxiliary department staff.
  • This includes research, analysis, forecasting, and/or training.
  • Maintain and update department specific documents.
  • Prepare and analyze financial information on a regular an ad hoc basis for internal and external reporting, i.e., UT System, UT Board of Regents, LBB, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
